Our founder comes from Guizhou, China, and moved to the United Kingdom as a teenager to study art, later settling in the United States. Through each chapter, a love of traditional Chinese culture and art remained a lasting connection to home.
Orithing grew from a wish to share that connection. China is home to many regional craft traditions, each with its own materials, techniques, and forms of expression. We want to make this variety easier to discover, appreciate, and bring into everyday life.
